India successfully on Sunday test-fired it’s indigenously developed a nuclear-capable long-range ballistic missile Agni -5
It is a 3 stage, 17-metre tall, 2-metre wide missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead of 1.5 tonnes and having a range of 5000 km.
It’s the most advanced missile with new technologies in terms of navigation, guidance warhead and engine.

Having Ring laser gyro-based Inertial Navigation Systems (RINS), and accurate Micro Navigation System has helped in to hit the target with precision.
It has a high-speed onboard computer and fault tolerant software along, which is robust and reliable.

It was launched from Dr.Abdul kalam island off Odisha coast.
Being launched with the help of mobile launcher from the integrated test range at Dr.Abdul Kalam island (earlier known as wheeler Island)at 9:48 am.
This was the 6th trial of that Agni -5 ballistic missiles.
