We all have a person who comes at the end to help us, no matter what, how or in which position we are.

We all know, our favorite Doraemon, originated from Japan is one such trusted friend of Nobita.

Whatever may happen, these to will never leave such a trusted bond, no matter what.

Yes, when you get saved by somebody, you often feel like, you should give something to them, or lift something.
So that it becomes a token of gratitude or for thankfulness.

We all gift something or the other. we have our own lists. When it comes to Nobita, we all know what he will gift to Doraemon.

It’s…………………..Dorayaki.
We know this as Dora cake, but then for them, it’s Dorayaki.

Let’s have a look what Dorayaki is all about.
It’s a Japanese confection. It has a red bean paste which is present as a filling in between 2 pancake patties. This filling is known as Azuki.

Legend has it that the first Dorayaki were made when a samurai named Benki forgot his gong( a musical instrument ) upon leaving it in a farmer home. Where he was hiding and the farmer subsequently used the Gong to fry the pancakes, therefore dorayaki.

Now let’s see how these sweet pancakes are made.

Dorayaki

Ingredients

For the pancakes
• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 2. Eggs
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tsp honey
• 3/4 cup milk

For Azuki paste
• 1 cup red beans
• 1 cup sugar

Preparation

To prepare the pancakes

It’s how we generally make pancakes.
In a bowl mix flour, baking soda, milk and eggs. Beat them until its soft and fluffy, now add sugar and honey.
Again mix until its completely mixed. Now heat a pan and add some oil/ butter.
Pour in a generous amount of pancake batter and heat them for 2mins each on both sides.
Serve them onto a plate

To prepare Azuki paste

In a vessel, add in the cup of red beans which is thoroughly washed. Now add almost 3 to 4 cups of water and allow not to boil for almost 1 to 1.5 hours.
Now, all we need is completely smooth and soft beans, such that they get easily mashed within our fingers.
After they are cooked, transfer them to another vessel, removing the water out.
Now add sugar to the mashed beans and make a thick paste yet watery.

Now at the end, take 2 pancakes, stuff it with Azuki paste and press the sides of the pancake so that the filling doesn’t come out.

That’s it!!!!
This is what our child star Doraemon loves to eat. Which you can also prepare. Easy and simple to make.
